Shot with my Nikon D700 and the 80-400mm lens. Not as crisp as I'd like but much better than last month's effort which resulted in over-exposed while blobs. I don't know what went wrong. I used the same settings as always, but nothing worked. The camera/lens combo seemed to work fine on anything else, just not the moon. Anyway, I was relieved to get a half decent photo this month - maybe it's the new year.

Wow! Great job! Whatever happened, keep it up! I watched the moon set over the mountains behind me this morning but did not take an image. I just gazed in awe. Hope you have a wonderful day and upcoming week.
