It was a good day

My **th birthday. My son and daughter-in-law took me to Cowfish for lunch. It's a burger/sushi restaurant in Charlotte. This was my first dine-in experience since the pandemic and (confession) my first time eating sushi. The social distancing inside the restaurant was more than six feet and everyone wore masks.

It was a very good day...  I probably won't order sushi again but at least I gave it a try. 😊

Sunflowers

Useful distraction, Sunflowers. They look sturdy and almost heavy, yet the details are as graceful as any tulip.

I long for a beach trip even though I know it is at best ill-advised. It's too depressing to think about how long it will be before we can travel safely.

I've been trying to get back into a habit of painting. I don't have the space anymore to leave all my paints, brushes, etc out and having to put everything away every time gives me more anxiety.  Creativity and angst are not a good combination.

The good news? I'm healthy. At the moment. lol

Colors

I begrudgingly bought red, white and blue flowers this weekend. They were near the pharmacy checkout and I figured I could at least get some pics. Prior to Nov. 2016, I swathed everything in RW&B for Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Now, I fly no flag. I no longer recognize this country.
