just 3 words

Other than the photos I took of Brandon pitching, I wasn't that happy with my photos last week. I got to watch him pitch in a Varsity game:

But I think my three words for last week are..... "Sold another print!"

these feet

these feet make me happy...

where will they take him?

what miles and miles will fall beneath them?

what happiness will they run to...

and what sorrow will they help him withstand?

sameness (I think I've covered this before)

sigh....

Photography forums and I just don't get along... or I don't belong in them; too many rules, stipulations, I-think-we-should-all-do-the-same-thing-ness. What starts out as a simple "Let's post photos about ...... (whatever).", eventually becomes overrun with rules, 'post this way', 'don't do 'that' (whatever the f--- THAT may be)'.... sheesh! Where is the creativity? Is everyone afraid of an original thought?

ack!

just 3 words

My three words for last week: "red - red - red"

saw it, felt it, painted it, shot it, ate it!

I should just stay in bed. Or at least not check messages.... or at least not have high expectations...

cherry pink

Cherry blossoms always make me think of pink tutus...

My three words for last week: "too many flowers"

It's spring and flowers are everywhere and it's sooooooo freaking easy. Ah well, I will try to do better this week.

X

trails of strangers,
traveling in different directions,
whose lives intersected for a moment in time

Shortly before this photo was taken, I had one of those 'moments'. The sun was just setting, the temps were in the low 70's, Brandon was pitching, and two geese flew low over the outfield... it was just a perfect moment in time...

early light

I know there must be a poem or a song
that describes the early morning, the awakening of the day.
Things gradually being illuminated,
showing us what they are really made of;
before the blinding light of day
obscures the fine details.
Someone surely has written of this,
but I cannot recall it.

I have stumbled on them too many times now.

the week

So many highs and lows last week.... started making a little documentary film, visited the state of sunshine, suffered from the common cold (I think common is not the right word when you cannot breathe!), wrote a sort-of bio, began my SoFoBoMo month and tasted Vermonty Python ice cream!
