Sunflowers

Useful distraction, Sunflowers. They look sturdy and almost heavy, yet the details are as graceful as any tulip.

I long for a beach trip even though I know it is at best ill-advised. It's too depressing to think about how long it will be before we can travel safely.

I've been trying to get back into a habit of painting. I don't have the space anymore to leave all my paints, brushes, etc out and having to put everything away every time gives me more anxiety.  Creativity and angst are not a good combination.

The good news? I'm healthy. At the moment. lol

We found a trip to the beach in June to be very low risk. A condo instead of a hotel room was a lot like being at home. One trip to the grocery store and some planning ahead and we were set. We did go out to eat twice but restaurants were following guidelines. Of course right now it's just too darned hot. We'd do it again in a heartbeat, but after it cools down a bit.

First, I love the image, especially the larger view. I don't necessarily long for a beach but just have that wandering spirit inside of me needing to be scratched. I did make a trip to Seattle for the 4th of July, took all the precautions I could and quarantined when I returned, that ends tomorrow.

I know about the anxiety and find the artistic side of me the best medicine for that. I'm not gonna tell you what to do, but paint my friend!

Thank you for the info, Tom. I think I'll look into renting a condo.
